Cant see the Wood for the Trees

If all the figures I have to paint were not enough, I am making some terrain at the moment. As those who follow the blog will remember I am getting into the French Indian Wars at 28mm, now the thing about this war was it was fought mainly in woods.
This means I need woods and lots of them. I am busy making loads of wooded areas at the moment in 3 different ways. One lot are individual trees that are huge sort of a centre piece, next I have some smaller areas that I have shop bought build-your-own trees on. Lastly I will be making dozens of thick wooded areas using a great how to from a blog I follow

The Work Desk and what is coming off it ATM

Happy New Year all,
                                  I wanted to share a picture of my painting desk as it is ATM (it has been cleaner). Also some shots of work I am doing or have finished.

First up some GW empire figures for a commission

A 15mm SYW General my Dad asked me to paint up (and I have sent off as an example of my 15mm painting)

4 of our FIW figures (that me and my Dad BTW)

A unit of Romo-Brits I finished this last year but have 3 more units on the desk on the go.

Exiles Sunday Sermon #1

I thought that I would take the time every Sunday to pass on a tip or advice that to some would seem simple but you would be surprised how it helps others.
My first tip is to do with undercoat, I like most use spray paint (black is my choice) and you will all know that it is very hard to get to all those undercuts, you find yourself in odd yogic poses trying to finish that all over undercoat.
My answer was to find this product, Black Primer

(other brush on primers are out there I just love this one)

Now I give my figures a good all over spray in the garage, then take them up to my paint room and brush on the primer in all those missed bits
