GW Empire Commission WIP

OK my next commission is for 25 Empire Swordsmen, the colours for this unit are to be yellow and black with gold trim. I undercoated them all this week and tonight I spent an hour on a test strip. The flesh is complete but all else is just the base colour. Painting yellow over a black undercoat is well hard so you can see I have started with an orange and the yellow will go next.

    Nice start.

    I know what you mean about yellow over black, very tough to get it right. Currently i start with a medium flesh colour and that works well.
