All work and no play

Very happy with how these figures look after only about 4 hours work, I think I might get the army well done now.

Celt army WIP

This is speed painting in its truest form, will be not winning any painting comps but should look fine on the table top. I have finished 23 javelin men (at the back of second picture, out of focus) and stuck and based 120 warriors.

Its offical I am mad

I was due to be away on holiday when the WAB GT was held in Stockport on 19th and 20th of Feb, but due to illness of the friends we were to visit I am now free. Only a few problems I do not have a WAB army at the moment, should I let this stop me...
No way I have paid my money and sent in my army list and all I have to do now is paint my army in the next 4 weeks.
My army is shown below and you will understand if my posts are few and far between as every spare min will be spent on this army and commission.

so far I have built 90 Celt's and based all the javelinmen, I will be using the army painter products and the shield transfers that come with the Warlord Games Celts. I may post pictures but do not hold your breath.

GW Chaos Warrior WIP2

Worked a little more shade into the armour and did most of the skulls.

GW Empire Swordsmen Test complete

Well I finished these guys today sending off a picture to the customer for feedback and then can complete the other 21.

GW Empire Commission WIP

OK my next commission is for 25 Empire Swordsmen, the colours for this unit are to be yellow and black with gold trim. I undercoated them all this week and tonight I spent an hour on a test strip. The flesh is complete but all else is just the base colour. Painting yellow over a black undercoat is well hard so you can see I have started with an orange and the yellow will go next.

GW Chaos warrior WIP

Been doing this model for a while. I am using it to practice on metals and fine details. as you can see i have finished the armour. I started with a dark brass then added lighter brass and old gold all the way up to mithril silver for spot highlights. I also used washes in the shadows. I will try to get together the colours used for the next post.

Greek Bust WIP

Well the years start has been wasted on me due to illness but have got back on the brush this week. working on a few ongoing projects while my latest commission gets undercoated.
This bust has had some colour washes added since you saw it last, very happy with its progress. I have used GW washes mainly flesh, blue and red.
