Greek Bust WIP

Just wanted to post a few pictures of my current Bust. Very happy with how he is coming using my new lifecolor flesh paint set.

Roman army test base

I painted up a test base to see how the Romans will look, and must say am very happy. Flesh is just GW Dwarf flesh then red on the robe and a dark brown on sandals and belts/scabbard. Then a paint over with Dark tone Army Painter dip. re-apply the red as a highlight, a wash of ogran flesh wash to put colour back in the skin. The base was painted brown gravel dry brushed and the other areas covered by flock. Anyway from undercoat to finished took 25min (not counting time for dip to dry)

Well I finally finished sticking all the troops together. I have undercoated them all in black with my Airbrush, and then using a spray can lightly covered them in silver/steel. I plan to fill in all the base colours then hit them with dark tone army painter. i will then highlight selected bits after and finally apply the shields. I think this will be a quick process so keep and eye on the blog for updates.

Commission so Far

Just a quick group shot of the complete figures, have the bases to do on these. And the next figure on the bench which is about 50% done.

Starting to get through these now, only a few left then on to the jacks.

Commission Progress and a few future WIP's

I have almost finished the latest figure in the commission and started the flesh on next one. Also I am showing a few of my future projects some 1:144 WW2 planes, and some Victorian gents and coppers.

Tonights work

Just a few shots of what i got done tonight, only had a hour to play with so finished the two commission guys and did a little on my WaMP comp entry.

Kingdom Death Painting Comp on WaMP

I am painting this guy as part of the painting comp on WaMP and having great fun doing him. I am using lots of new colour combos and not too worried how things turn out. Just the way I used to paint without a care in the world.

I wanted to show you how far I have got with my army, and let you in on the rig I am making to paint and decal all the shields.

I am in the middle of a huge stick-a-thon. So far I have about 2/3 done shields will be painted separate and stuck on after. Once all the legionnaires are complete will base them so can rank them up correctly.

Warmachine Commission

This is the test figure I completed so the client could agree on the colours and general style. He was happy with it once I darkened the robe, so it full steam ahead with the whole group.

I was at Fiasco on Sunday and took along a selection on my mini's to put on the Sheffield Irregulars stand below is my display. They are a mix of commission work and my own models.
